22nd week of pictures - Favorite Outfit

This week's theme is Favorite Outfit.  Lets be honest, my favorite outfit is whatever is fitting at the moment.  With my plus size figure, every day is a struggle at what fits and what doesn't.  Right now I am into flowy outfits.  They don't hug my body to show my rolls and they are comfortable.  Below is my current favorite flowy outfit.  My mom treated me the other day to a shopping trip and I was so happy to find a few things I liked.

But if we are being honest, my favorite outfit is what is below.... a comfortable t-shirt that probably has paint or stains on it and some comfy lounge pants.  I live in those almost every day.  Sorry people but that is just who I am.

I am working hard to try and lose weight and get in shape.  It is taking time and will take time.  Maybe one day I will get to the point where I like to shop and buy clothes knowing they will always fit me perfectly and comfortably.

Matthew's 6th Birthday

Matthew had a blast for his 6th birthday.  The day before his birthday we had a birthday party at the park.  The policy at school is that you invite everyone from your class or no one.  So we invited everyone.  I was impressed at how many kids showed up.  During the party we played at the park, played a bean bag toss game, opened presents, had watermelon, and had a pinata.  The hour was a success despite the windy chilly weather.  Matthew scored many awesome gifts and kids went away happy.
Here is the gang from the birthday party.

Matthew's birthday fell on the same day as his Kindergarten graduation.  Perfect 2 for 1 shot for grandparents.  That morning we had his graduation.  Then we went to lunch at Angies.  Love that place.  Matthew got his free cinnamon roll and we all pretty much downed it after we had our yummy lunch.  Then we came home for presents and ice cream and cake.  Then after grandparents left, we headed to the jump zone... our kids new favorite place to play.  The kids jumped their hearts out for an hour (thanks to a sweet deal from the jump zone).  Then it was time for dinner.  Pizza Pie Cafe fed us well.  Matthew was so happy it was his birthday he was telling everyone.  He scored a free "cookie monster" from Pizza Pie.  Seriously all our kids went to bed with giant smiles on their faces and crashed hard.  Great day.

 Blowing out his candle.
Matthew's cute Jake and the Never Ending Pirate cake.
Matthew jumping at the jump zone.  Sorry the picture isn't the best quality.  We got some fun videos here.
Jacob flirting with the girls.  haha.  Just kidding, he runs the other way.
Kimberly doing her tricks.

Glad we have 364 days before we do this again!

Last Days of School

Well we have officially ended the school year and passed with flying colors.  I have to say this... sometimes you don't know how different schools are until you actually try them.  I thought Bridger was the greatest school with great teachers.  They still are but I can't even tell you how happy we were with Millville Elementary.  Our kids were so happy with Millville.  The principal, teachers, kids, etc., were all amazing.  My kids grew up perfectly this year.  I am so happy we have a 1st grader and a 4th grader now.
Matthew on his last day of school.

Matthew during his Kindergarten graduation.  This was the neatest thing.  The kids sang 9 different songs to show what they learned throughout the year.  Then they showed a slide show of pictures throughout the year.  Then they had each child come up and get their diploma where they shook hands with their teacher and the principal. Such a cute thing for kids this age.
Matthew and his teacher Ms. Jones.  I love this lady.  She is the perfect Kindergarten teacher.  Matthew adored her.
 My graduate!
Kimberly on her last day of 3rd grade.
Kimberly and her teacher Mrs. Broadbent.  Great lady.  She welcomed Kimberly into her class with open arms and seriously hugged her all year.  Good luck in OK Abby.
Kimberly and her best friend Katie.  I am so happy Kimberly makes friends easily and this gal became her bestie.
Some of the girls in Kimberly's class.  Kimberly made some great friends this year.

Summer here we come!

So pretty

This was our pretty view out our back door the other night.  It occcurred right after we put kids to bed so we got them up to see it.  I love where we live.

Kimberly's Selfless Act

I am so proud of Kimberly.  As crazy as she drives me some days, there are days like today that make me smile.  Kimberly donated over 12 inches of hair to Wigs for Kids.  She grew out her hair for 4 years and it was long.  This makes me smile more than just because of the selfless act.  I am so happy to see all that hair gone.  Kimberly has a good thick head of hair and it would just tangle up badly if she didn't brush it every morning and night.  We would struggle and cry about this hair more times than I can even count.  It will be nice not to have to deal with the fighting and tears for a few months.

Wigs for Kids is a cute organization we found online.  We normally donate to Locks of Love but the last time Kimmy never got anything from them and then we found out they were having missing pieces and not able to account for everything.  So we looked up somewhere else to donate and found Wigs for Kids.  The neat thing is that one of the founders is a Girl Scout Leader and she will give out a patch for donating.

I am sooooo proud of Kimberly.

21st Week of Pictures - Something Pink

With 1 daughter that loves the color Pink, we get our fair share.  When we moved into our house, she was determined to have hot pink and zebra striped walls.  I talked her down to just 1 wall being hot pink and her closet being zebra striped and then we could accent with zebra decorations.  So here is the hot pink wall.  She is super happy about it.

20th week of pictures - Mom

This week's theme was Mom.  This picture displays two "mom" things; my beautiful mother and my children that make me a mom.

I am so blessed to have my mom.  She has been my everything all my life.  She is the lady I go to with problems, just to chat, and to laugh with.  I love everything about my mom.  Yes we have our moments but we grow with each disagreement.  I love you mom.

My three children have made me the mom I am.  I can't always say I am proud of what I have done but I am super grateful these three have made me a mother.  I just hope I can live up to the title.  My mother set the bar high.

I do love being a mom.  I would be extremely lonely in this world if I didn't have my children.

19th week of pictures - Bathroom

This week's theme is Bathroom.  I am blessed to have 2 full working bathrooms in this house.  With 5 of us, I am indeed extremely grateful for that.

This is the main bathroom used by the children and by any visitors that come to our home.  Normally this bathroom can look like a tornado ran thru it.  Especially after Kimberly gets ready for school.  This picture makes it look lovely, but that is because I had just cleaned it.

This is my bathroom... my very own bathroom!!!!  For 9 years I shared a bathroom with children... with all their shampoos and toys.  But now I have my own bathroom and I love it.  I love that I get up in the morning and have it all to myself.  I don't have to worry about hurrying out so some little pitter patter of feet can run in and go potty.  So happy to have my own bathroom!
Granted, there are many things I would love to change about these two bathrooms but I am just grateful for now they are working and we have the space.

This is my 3rd bathroom.  I know it doesn't look like much of a bathroom right now.  This bathroom is mainly plumbed and ready to be finished but that isn't a project we are ready to take on right now.  So it houses my yard sale stuff I am going to have this summer.  It will be nice when it is finished because it is downstairs.  The boys will need a bathroom down there eventually.  One day!

18th week of pictures - Bedtime

I don't know about your family, but we have a bedtime routine.  After scripture and prayer, we have our nightly hugs and kisses (Jacob thinks he needs to kiss me a bunch of times, not sure if he is trying to make his daddy jealous!).  Then nightly drink and potty moment.  Next is nightly book reading time.  This entails Kimberly doing her 20 minutes of reading either in my bed or her bed, Matthew, Jacob and Daddy doing their nightly reading, and then Matthew and Jacob reading together.  Now this does not vary.  We must do this every night or kids get a little out of their minds.  It is funny how you try to change this due to a late night of getting home or someone not feeling good, it does not work well.

As you can see below, Jacob has to go up in brother's bed and read 1 book and play around before he gets into his bed.  You cannot change this.  He has to do this or he throws a fit.

But you know what, I have my own bedtime routine too and I do not like when it gets messed with.  So I understand my children completely.  They must get some of their personality from me.
